We took the two hour rugged jeep tour with Smokey and had a very good time. Smokey is knowledgeable on the terrain and history of the area. We are in our 60's and had no problems with the ride. Much better than the Sedona jeep ride we went on last year. Thanks to Apache Trail Tours for an excellent tour.

Your desert tour was fantastic! The kids said they thought it was better than the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland.

About Our Tours

Our off-road tours, although not extreme, are rough and rugged. The tour routes traverse primitive uneven trails that include rocky sections as well as some climbs and descents. Warnings are issued for anyone with back, neck or hip issues.

An Unforgettable Experience

The most ancient highway in all of North America, the Apache Trail flaunts its irresistible beauty with mighty canyons, jagged mountain peaks, and sparkling desert lakes while exuding the flavor and romance of the old West. As one of the most scenic drives in the country, it is also one of the most dangerous. You can enjoy it worry free as our experienced and knowledgeable tour guides weave the trails and tales that make this land so intriguing!

“The Apache Trail combines the grandeur of the Alps, the glory of the Rockies, the magnificence of the Grand Canyon and then adds the indefinable something that none of the others have. To me it is the most beautiful panorama nature has created.”

– President Theodore Roosevelt

Trip Advisor Review

“Have been on pink jeep tours, and this one does them one better. It wasn’t just about the off road ups and downs, it was about the stories and the knowledge that we were entertained with. It was a true learning experience. Dusty our guide really knew his stuff!”
